AEM Engine management.  G-Force T-56, Quaife Dana 44, Mark Williams driveline.  This monster put down 1483 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER on C16, not to mention 1221 RWHP on pump gas with methanol.  During trial tuning we ran 9.02 at 165 MPH on low boost of around 15psi – probably around 1000 RWHP, on pump gas, DOT tires, and easing it out of the hole as you can see in the video.  Similar builds have run high 7s and low 8s, and we expect the same once we finish the safety equipment and get some seat time.

]]> http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1996-dodge-viper-gts-twin-turbo/feed/ 1 1973 Dodge Challenger 572 Hemi http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1973-dodge-challenger-572-hemi/ http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1973-dodge-challenger-572-hemi/#comments Wed, 14 Apr 2010 02:10:42 +0000 Jim http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/?p=85 One of our latest projects, we are partnering with Authentic Automotive in Cudahy (body and paintwork) and Clocks Off Racing in Racine (fabrication) on this 1973 Dodge Challenger – full chassis pro street car.  We started with a used Bickel 7.50 certed full chromoly roller that we stumbled onto, and formulated some pretty big plans.  From there we will be installing a 572 cubic inch Mopar Megablock based Hemi with Indy heads and intake, a 727 trans with a brake, and a narrowed Mark Williams Ford 9 inch rear end.  Painless wiring, Wilwood disc brakes, Weld wheels, and an aeromotive fuel system complete the rest of the package.  The Hemi dynoed 840 horsepower, and we figure the car will weigh under 3000 pounds when finished so it should be good for easy low 9s on pump gas.  We figured that such an outrageous car needed a high impact look, so we are going with Panther Pink paint and Challenger T/A style hood and spoiler.  As always, MORE TO COME!

]]> http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1973-dodge-challenger-572-hemi/feed/ 1 1998 Dodge Viper GTS Vortech Supercharged http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1998-dodge-viper-gts-vortech-supercharged/ http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1998-dodge-viper-gts-vortech-supercharged/#comments Wed, 14 Apr 2010 01:40:14 +0000 Jim http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/?p=74 Our first shop Viper, we started this one in 2003.  What began with the basics like exhaust, air intake, 1.6 ratio rocker arms eventually lead to the aquisition and installation of a used Vortech J trim blower, Split Second add on fuel management, injectors, and giant sized FMIC – at a cost so low that you wouldn’t believe me if I typed it.  This combo on a bone stock engine (aside from the rocker arms) was good for 740 RWHP on the dyno on PUMP GAS,  and 10.59 at 145 MPH at Da Grove on DOT drag radials!

]]> http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1998-dodge-viper-gts-vortech-supercharged/feed/ 0 1992 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1992-dodge-stealth-rt-twin-turbo/ http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1992-dodge-stealth-rt-twin-turbo/#comments Wed, 14 Apr 2010 01:22:05 +0000 Jim http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/?p=66 Another shop car of ours in the late 90s through 2003 or so.  It went through two seperate builds – the first was a basic 13G turbo, 660CC injector, HKS VPC, Apexi SAFC and AVCR boost controller, full 3″ exhaust buildup, RPS stage III clutch.  That setup was good for 12.21 in the quarter at Union Grove, and quite a bit of street racing as well.  The second build we went with a complete bottom end rebuild, Dynamic Racing stage II ported heads, 15G turbos, a Tilton twin disc clutch setup, and a complete 6 speed changeover (from the original 5 speed).  This setup was good for 11.20s in the quarter, with a very soft launch.  All work and tuning was done in house.

Only video we happen to have, in car launch at an undisclosed stop light, versus an LS1 Camaro, and yes he did indeed “go”, AWD FTW ;)

]]> http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/2008-dodge-caliber-srt4-turbo-3/feed/ 0 1970 Dodge Charger 496 Six Pak http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1970-dodge-charger-496-six-pak/ http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/2010/04/1970-dodge-charger-496-six-pak/#comments Mon, 12 Apr 2010 02:13:16 +0000 Jim http://www.milwaukeemopar.com/?p=44 A shop car of ours for many years, we started with a basket case of a shell and turned it into the Hemi Orange big block machine you may have seen on the streets of Milwaukee or at Da Grove throughout the late 1990s and into the 2000s.  In fact, we won the trophy class at the 1999 Mopar Day and Union Grove, and took runner up in 2000 – foot braking with no electronics!  The first build was a mild 440 and 727 topped by a factory Six Pak setup that was good for mid 12 second 1/4 mile times and could be driven to the track or local street racing spot, raced all day, and driven home – and it often was!  As always, the urge to go faster took hold sometime around 2000 and the car was completely rebuilt with a 496 cubic inch pump gas stroker, Indy SR heads, 727 auto, and a 4:10 Dana 60.  Still running a factory Six Pak it now ran 10.87 in the quarter, with more potential on the table if we could ever have brought ourselves to swap the Six Pak for a Dominator…
