I have nothing but the best high end equipment, I bring Klipsch LaScalas ($8,000, 150 pound speakers, not cheapo little tripod monted stuff), Crown amps, a Mackie mixer, Shure mics, plus lots of lights and effects. For Rock Band I have the hottest setup you have seen – Ion drums, the best cordless guitars and Fender Bass, and use a real Shure mic as well, not to mention I run the full PA setup, 3 monitors plus an HD projector, and lights and effects with it – just like a real band! Truly a blast at parties. I have been a DJ off and on for 20 years from WMSE to clubs to what have you. Since this is a side gig for me my prices are extremely affordable.
